Despite its location in the middle of the city, Otago Boys' High School is able to offer excellent sporting facilities for the large numbers of boys who are involved in a wide range of activities. On-campus facilities include a gymnasium and weight-training complex, a heated indoor pool, eight cricket nets and a similar number of tennis courts. A short distance away. teams and players make full use of the school's rowing complex, Balmacewen golf course, and the new Caledonian athletics complex, as well as enjoying immediate access to the neighbouring Moana Pool swimming and fitness centre. Fully-equipped physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, computer and language suites, music rooms and a recording studio are all part of a great learning environment. A free-standing library has kept pace with all developments in research and information technology. A drama room, technology workshops, and an ESOL suite provide learning opportunities for boys at all levels and of all abilities.
